How it started

In a dry climate where my skin suffered, I experienced the frustration of trying numerous lotions and balms that failed to provide the relief I needed. Some even worsened the condition of my skin. Determined to find a solution, I took matters into my own hands. I started making lip balm and body butter for myself, with Wellness Mama* as my indirect mentor. It took a few tries over a few years to balance the ingredients I wanted to use but once I found it, I was pretty blown away. So I started sharing it, mostly as gifts. That transformed into experimenting with tinted balms, whipped body butters, stretch mark creams that were safe for pregnant bellies, and even herbal salves I learned about in my online herbal studies*. Suddenly people were asking for more! Turns out ingredients matter to others too.

The name

That wasn’t enough. I needed to integrate this radical solution with my values of self-ownership and helping others without constraint. So I named it N.A.P.-stick and hoped you would wonder why. I’d love to share the adventure, the products and(/or) the values with anyone who’s interested.
